Salim is 31 years old, disabled man. His two younger brothers are also disabled. He is not married and he lives with his parents. He is unemployed and they do not have enough money to meet their needs.
Their house was damaged in the 31st August earthquake, and so they are currently living in a camp set up for earthquake affected families. They faced many challenges in the camp. When it rains, the water drips through the thin tent sheet, making the living space wet & uncomfortable. The winter nights are cold, due to which his disabled younger brothers often get sick with cold & cough.
On 22nd January 2026, Serve provided him a relief package consisting of hygiene kit (laundry soap - 10, bathing soap - 10, tooth paste – 4 tubes, 8 tooth brushes, 4-meters Roll cloth (under dignity item for women/girls), Tarpaulin sheet (4x6m), five blankets (2ply single 170x230cm) and two mats (3x4m) and 4000 Afghani as multi-purpose cash support.
These relief items helped his family to meet their basic needs and survive the cold winter months.
