Hamid (name changed) is the son of Jamshid. He is 7 years old. He lives with his father, mother, two sisters and one brother. His father is jobless; they are living in PD 12 of Kabul city.
Hamid was born in 2016 in Husain Khail village of Kabul Province. When he was four years old, his mother took him to a hospital. The doctor checked him and told his mother that he was blind in both the eyes due to lack of vitamin A. The whole family was very sad. His father used to be in the army but now he is jobless. The family is very poor and sometimes the neighbours used to help them.
Serve Afghanistan survey team identified him through survey in his location when he was 6 years old. The team admitted him in the preschool programme (PSP). He learned many things in the PSP. After attending PSP, now he is able do many things by himself. He is more aware of his surroundings. He is able to help his mother at home. He can also read and write alphabets in slate styles. He is an intelligent boy. He will be admitted in the school in the new year (2025). He hopes to become a teacher when he grows up.
