The father of the baby is Hafiz (name changed). He is a farmer. He and his wife live in Panjwayee, Kandahar. They belong to a poor family.
Last year Mr. Hafiz and his wife lost their baby on the way to the hospital which was in a far location. There were no health services in the area before the clinic was established.
Hafiz’s wife was provided ante-natal care through the clinic and on 14 July 2024, Hafiz brought his pregnant wife to the Project clinic for delivery. The clinic staff including the mid wife and female staff were able to provide their services and a healthy baby was delivered through normal delivery. Newborn baby parents were very happy with safe delivery. They thanked the clinic staff for service and support.
They informed that before this clinic (Zala Khan BC clinic) was established by Serve, they used to face a lot of problem. They are very grateful for the services provided. They said health knowledge has increased with the awareness imparted by the project on importance issues such as MCH issue, nutrition, hygiene, importance of iron and folic acid during pregnancy.
