Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Water and Sanitation Hygiene (WASH) is a key aspect of these goals.

Over the past three years, Serve Afghanistan has trained more than 2,000 men and women through 100 WASH programmes and have funded, built and repaired bore wells fitted with hand pumps and model community latrines and distributed hundreds of female hygiene kits. This has resulted in huge improvements in hygiene practices as well as access to safe, clean drinking water and latrines in some of Afghanistan’s poorest and most remote communities.

Water and sanitation hygiene are such basic needs. The investment into these community development, education & awareness projects is so incredibly important to prevent so much sickness and disease in Afghanistan’s poorest and most desperate communities.
